Rekeying & Master Key Systems
Old keys stop working
Moved into a new place? An employee left? Lost a key? You don't need new locks. We rekey the locks you already have so the old keys stop working and a new key works instead.
Rekeying changes the pins inside the lock to match a new key. The lock, the handle and the finish stay exactly as they are. You only need new hardware if a lock is worn, damaged, or you simply want to upgrade.
When to rekey
After you buy a home or move into a rental. After an employee, tenant or contractor leaves with a key. When a key is lost or stolen. And when you're tired of carrying six keys — we can key your locks alike so one key opens them all.
Master key systems for businesses
A master key system gives each person exactly the access they need: the owner's key opens everything, a manager's opens their department, and staff keys open only their own doors. When someone leaves, we rekey the doors they had — not the whole building.
We design the system, keep the records, and cut keys against it for years afterwards. Pair it with high-security cylinders and the keys can't be copied without your OK.

Rekeying & Master Keys: common questions

Most can. A lock that is worn out, damaged, or a basic one-piece design may be better replaced — we'll tell you which on site.
Yes, as long as the locks share a compatible keyway. We can rekey them alike so one key opens every door, or set up a master key system for a business.
